DIGEST 

Currently, the Insurance Code contains three statutes codified as Article
21.79E.  The three statutes pertain to Credit Involuntary Unemployment
Insurance, Illegal Pricing Practices, and Action for Amount of Deductible.
This bill would renumber the articles pertaining to Illegal Pricing
Practices and Action for Amount of Deductible as Articles 21.79F and
21.79G, respectively.  
 
PURPOSE

As proposed, H.B. 2015 redesignates Article 21.79E in the Insurance Code
pertaining to Illegal Pricing Practices and Action for Amount of
Deductible as Articles 21.79F and 21.79G, respectively.  

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency. 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

SECTION 1. Amends Article 21.79E, Insurance Code,  as added by Section
4.06, Chapter 242, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, Regular Session, 1991, to
redesignate it as Article 21.79F, Insurance Code, as follows:  

Article 21.79F.  New heading:  ILLEGAL PRICING PRACTICES.

SECTION 2. Amends Article 21.79E, Insurance Code, as added by Section
11.32, Chapter 242, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, Regular Session, 1991,
to redesignate it as Article 21.79G, Insurance Code, as follows: 

Article 21.79G.  New heading:  ACTION FOR AMOUNT OF DEDUCTIBLE.

SECTION 3. Effective date: September 1, 1997.

SECTION 4. Emergency clause.
