PMWJ H.B. 3559 75(R)BILL ANALYSIS JUDICIAL AFFAIRS H.B. 3559 By: Hawley 4-17-97 Committee Report (Unamended) BACKGROUND In the 74th Legislative Session, HB 3214 was passed which created a statutory county court in Bee County. The legislation provided that the Court would be created by January 1, 1998, or on an earlier date determined by the Bee County Commissioners Court. PURPOSE HB 3559 extends the deadline for the creation of the Bee County Court at Law from January 1, 1998, to January 1, 2000. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency or institution. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Section 2, Chapter 702, Acts of the 74th Legislature, is amended by changing the date of creation of the Bee County Court at Law to January 1, 2000, or an earlier date determined by the commissioners court.
