DIGEST

Currently, the administration of the state's child care services is
handled by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Beginning September 1,
1997, local workforce development boards, under the auspices of TWC, will

their areas. Representatives of child development and child care entities
are not included as members of local workforce development boards under
Chapter 2308F, Government Code. This bill would include such
representatives as members of local workforce development boards.
