Committee Report (Unamended)

BACKGROUND

Currently, an aircraft is not permitted to bear the name of an alcoholic
beverage unless the aircraft is participating in an air show. S.B. 672
provides that all aircraft are excluded from the definition of "outdoor
advertising," which would permit any aircraft to display the name of an
alcoholic beverage.

PURPOSE

S.B. 672 provides that an aircraft may be used in alcoholic beverage
advertising or promotion.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any
additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency or
institution.

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

provision stating that only an aircraft participating in an air show is
