DIGEST 

Currently, certain amendments were made to Acts during the 74th
Legislature.  Unfortunately, additions and corrections were not made to
the enacted codes.  This bill makes certain nonsubstantive additions to
and corrections in enacted codes, including the nonsubstantive
codification of various laws omitted from enacted codes, and to conforming
codifications enacted by the 74th Legislature to other Acts of that
legislature. 

PURPOSE

As proposed, S.B. 898 makes certain nonsubstantive additions to and
corrections in enacted codes, including the nonsubstantive codification of
various laws omitted from enacted codes, and to conforming codifications
enacted by the 74th Legislature to other Acts of that legislature. 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency. 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

Makes nonsubstantive additions and standard recodification changes to
various laws omitted from enacted codes in the 74th Legislature.  The
following codes were modified:  

Government Code, Agriculture Code, Civil Practice and Remedies Code,
Education Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Family Code, Health and Safety
Code, Human Resources Code, Labor Code, Local Government Code, Tax Code,
Texas Probate Code, Property Code, Penal Code, Public Utility Regulatory
Act of 1995 (Article 1446c-0, V.T.C.S.), Natural Resources Code, Parks and
Wildlife Code, Transportation Code, Alcoholic Beverage Code,  Business and
Commerce Code, and Water Code.
