In the 74th Legislature, the Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund (TIF)

integrating information technology and services into the educational
system.

That the 75th Legislature of the State of Texas authorize the creation of
the Texas Education Telecommunications Coordinating Committee (advisory
committee); and

That the advisory committee be charged with the responsibility of
developing goals for the advancement, acquisition, and use of
telecommunications technology in the state education system, coordinating
education technology efforts among state agencies, encouraging maximum use
of Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund by rewarding collaborative
efforts through the grant process, and making, by September 1, 1998, any
legislative recommendations for the regular session of the 76th
Legislature; and

That the committee membership be composed of members from particular
