1-2 relating to the sale or lease of superconducting super collider

1-3 property given to a county by the United States Department of

 1-4 Energy.

1-5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

1-6 SECTION 1. Chapter 270, Local Government Code, is amended by

1-7 adding Section 270.008 to read as follows:

1-10 county any property that was used or was to be used in connection

1-11 with or by a superconducting super collider high-energy research

1-14 county.

1-15 (b) A commissioners court disposing of property under this

1-16 section is not required to comply with any provision of this title,

1-17 including Sections 263.001 and 272.001, requiring a public auction

1-18 or bidding process for the disposal of property.

1-19 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the

1-24 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its

2-1 passage, and it is so enacted.
