                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

 1-1                                   AN ACT

 1-2     relating to application of the capitol view corridors to

 1-3     construction, renovation, and equipment of Darrell K. Royal-Texas

 1-4     Memorial Stadium.

 1-5           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

 1-6           SECTION 1.  Chapter 50, Acts of the 68th Legislature, Regular

 1-7     Session, 1983 (Article 6145-13, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), is

 1-8     amended by adding Section 7 to read as follows:

 1-9           Sec. 7.  APPLICATION TO DARRELL K. ROYAL-TEXAS MEMORIAL

1-10     STADIUM.  This Act does not apply to the construction, renovation,

1-11     or equipment of the structure known as Darrell K. Royal-Texas

1-12     Memorial Stadium and improvements related to that structure.

1-13     However, the height of the structure or a related improvement may

1-14     not exceed 666 feet above sea level.

1-15           SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the

1-16     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an

1-17     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the

1-18     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several

1-19     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,

1-20     and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its

1-21     passage, and it is so enacted.
