1-1                                   AN ACT

 1-2     relating to the redesignation of certain articles of the Insurance

 1-3     Code.

 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

 1-5           SECTION 1.  Article 21.79E, Insurance Code, as added by

 1-6     Section 4.06, Chapter 242, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, Regular

 1-7     Session, 1991, is redesignated as Article 21.79F, Insurance Code,

 1-8     and the heading of that article is amended to read as follows:

 1-9           Art. 21.79F [21.79E].  ILLEGAL PRICING PRACTICES.

1-10           SECTION 2.  Article 21.79E, Insurance Code, as added by

1-11     Section 11.32, Chapter 242, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, Regular

1-12     Session, 1991, is redesignated as Article 21.79G, Insurance Code,

1-13     and the heading of that article is amended to read as follows:

1-14           Art. 21.79G [21.79E].  ACTION FOR AMOUNT OF DEDUCTIBLE.

1-15           SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1997.

1-16           SECTION 4.  The importance of this legislation and the

1-17     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an

1-18     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the

1-19     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several

1-20     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
