1-6 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-7 AN ACT
1-8 relating to the redesignation of certain articles of the Insurance
1-9 Code.
1-10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-11 SECTION 1. Article 21.79E, Insurance Code, as added by
1-12 Section 4.06, Chapter 242, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, Regular
1-13 Session, 1991, is redesignated as Article 21.79F, Insurance Code,
1-14 and the heading of that article is amended to read as follows:
1-15 Art. 21.79F [21.79E]. ILLEGAL PRICING PRACTICES.
1-16 SECTION 2. Article 21.79E, Insurance Code, as added by
1-17 Section 11.32, Chapter 242, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, Regular
1-18 Session, 1991, is redesignated as Article 21.79G, Insurance Code,
1-19 and the heading of that article is amended to read as follows:
1-20 Art. 21.79G [21.79E]. ACTION FOR AMOUNT OF DEDUCTIBLE.
1-21 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 1997.
1-22 SECTION 4. The importance of this legislation and the
1-23 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-24 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-25 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-26 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
