A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to the reapportionment of certain state representative
1-3 districts.
1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-5 SECTION 1. Sections 92 and 98, Article II, Chapter 2, Acts
1-6 of the 72nd Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 1992, are revised to
1-7 read as follows:
1-8 Sec. 92. District 92 is composed of Tarrant County tracts
1-9 1065.08, 1065.09, 1134.03, 1134.04, 1134.05, 1134.07, 1134.08,
1-10 1135.04, 1135.05, 1135.06, 1135.07, 1135.08, 1136.07, 1136.13,
1-11 1136.14, 1136.16, 1136.17, 1136.18, and 1136.19; and that part of
1-12 Tarrant County tract 1065.10 included in block groups 1 and 2 and
1-13 block 301; and that part of Tarrant County tract 1136.09 included
1-14 in block 538; and that part of Tarrant County tract 1136.12
1-15 included in block groups 3 and 4 and blocks 205A, 205B, 205C, 206,
1-16 207, 208, 209A, 209B, 210A, 210B, 211, 212, 213, and 214; and that
1-17 part of Tarrant County tract 1136.15 included in block groups 1, 4,
1-18 5, and blocks 201, 202, 204, and 207.
1-19 Sec. 98. District 98 is composed of Tarrant County tracts
1-20 1012.01, 1015, 1049, 1050.05, 1050.06, 1102.02, 1103, 1136.11,
1-21 1137.02, 1137.03, 1137.04, 1139.01, 1139.03, 1139.04, and 1139.05;
1-22 and that part of Tarrant County tract 1101.01 included in block
1-23 group 4 and blocks 111, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309,
1-24 310, 311, 313, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, and 319; and that part of
2-1 Tarrant County tract 1101.02 included in block groups 1, 3, 4, 5,
2-2 and blocks 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211,
2-3 212, and 213; and that part of Tarrant County tract 1102.01
2-4 included in block groups 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and blocks 222, and 223;
2-5 and that part of Tarrant County tract 1133.02 included in block

3-3 SECTION 2. The districts established by this Act apply to
3-4 the election of the members of the Texas House of Representatives
3-5 beginning with the primary and general elections in 1998 for
3-6 members of the 76th Legislature. This Act does not affect the
3-7 membership or districts of the Texas House of Representatives of
3-8 the 75th Legislature.
3-9 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
3-10 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
3-11 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
3-12 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
3-13 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
3-14 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
3-15 passage, and it is so enacted.
