1-1 AN ACT 1-2 relating to the transfer, sale, or exchange of real property 1-3 between the General Services Commission and the City of Austin. 1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-5 SECTION 1. Section 2166.052, Government Code, is amended by 1-6 adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: 1-7 (c) The commission may enter into a contract with the City 1-8 of Austin to govern the transfer, sale, or exchange of real 1-9 property and interests in real property, including the vacation of 1-10 street rights-of-way, easements, and other interests, as necessary 1-11 or advantageous to both parties. The agreement may provide for the 1-12 transfer, sale, or exchange by one party in favor of the other for 1-13 a reasonable value established by the parties and may provide for a 1-14 transfer, sale, or exchange to be credited against future property 1-15 or interests to be transferred, sold, or exchanged between the 1-16 parties. Section 272.001, Local Government Code, does not apply to 1-17 a transaction governed by this section. 1-18 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the 1-19 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-20 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-21 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-22 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, 1-23 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its 1-24 passage, and it is so enacted. _______________________________ _______________________________ President of the Senate Speaker of the House I certify that H.B.
