No. 178 75R9454 BNL-D HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1-1 WHEREAS, The death of Ryan Lynn Freeman on June 15, 1996, 1-2 brought a tremendous loss to the family and friends of this special 1-3 little boy, and the members of the Texas Legislature join them in 1-4 mourning his passing; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Born October 22, 1991, Ryan was blessed with a 1-6 bright smile and a warm personality, and he captured the hearts of 1-7 all who were fortunate to know him; in his courageous fight against 1-8 leukemia, Ryan benefited tremendously from the love and support of 1-9 his family and many friends, and in return he brought great joy and 1-10 delight into their lives; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Throughout his life, this remarkable child displayed 1-12 resilience, determination, and strength beyond his years, thus 1-13 proving that the mightiest of spirits can exist in the smallest of 1-14 bodies; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Although his time with us was much too brief, Ryan 1-16 Freeman was a cherished and welcome presence in this world, and 1-17 although we must bid him a reluctant farewell, his memory will 1-18 endure in the hearts and minds of all those whose lives he touched; 1-19 now, therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the 75th Legislature of the State of Texas 1-21 hereby pay tribute to the life of Ryan Lynn Freeman and extend 1-22 deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Ron 1-23 and Sherry Freeman; to his sisters, Robyn and Rebecca Freeman; to 1-24 his grandparents, Ronald and Linda Freeman, and Robert and Shirley 2-1 Duckworth; to his great-grandmother, Edna Shoemaker; to his aunt, 2-2 Milisa Barnhart; to his uncle, Michael Duckworth; and to all the 2-3 relatives and friends of this beloved child; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-5 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-6 House of Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in 2-7 memory of Ryan Lynn Freeman.
