R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 the members of the Magic Circle Republican Women's Club for their 1-3 outstanding service in behalf of their fellow Texans; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Formed in 1978, the club is now the second largest 1-5 Republican women's club in Texas and the eighth largest club in the 1-6 nation; its many dedicated members have given generously of their 1-7 time and talents to work on numerous political endeavors, chairing 1-8 campaigns and phone banks, preparing and performing radio 1-9 advertisements, and publishing an informative newsletter, and their 1-10 efforts have strongly encouraged political participation in the 1-11 community; and 1-12 WHEREAS, These remarkable women have also been involved in a 1-13 number of important community service initiatives, including a 1-14 literacy program and a cancer awareness project, that have greatly 1-15 enhanced the lives of all Texans; the club performs yet another 1-16 vital function by inspiring each of its members to realize her 1-17 highest potential, and it currently boasts several elected 1-18 officials and appointees in its membership roles; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Throughout its proud history, the Magic Circle 1-20 Republican Women's Club has served the State of Texas with honor 1-21 and distinction, and it is truly a pleasure to recognize all those 1-22 associated with the organization for their fine efforts; now, 1-23 therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby honor the members of the Magic Circle Republican 2-2 Women's Club for their exceptional contributions to the Lone Star 2-3 State; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-5 prepared for the members of the Magic Circle Republican Women's 2-6 Club as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of 2-7 Representatives.
