                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, With the observance of his 50th birthday on February

 1-2     24, 1997, William Clay Robison will commemorate yet another

 1-3     milestone in a full and rewarding life; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, He was born in San Antonio in 1947 and for the past

 1-5     25 years, he has faithfully served the people of Texas as a

 1-6     journalist; he began his distinguished career with the San Antonio

 1-7     Light and was made bureau chief of the Houston Chronicle  15 years

 1-8     ago, in which capacity he proudly serves today; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, Well regarded for his insight, integrity, and

1-10     dedication, he has earned distinction as the longest-serving Austin

1-11     bureau chief of any Texas media, and he has shared his extensive

1-12     knowledge of the political process with countless individuals as

1-13     the author of three textbooks on state government; and

1-14           WHEREAS, Mr. Robison's dedication to his career is surpassed

1-15     only by his love of family; he is the devoted spouse of Roxanne

1-16     Robison and the proud father of two children, Taylor and Adrian,

1-17     and he takes great pleasure in their many accomplishments; and

1-18           WHEREAS, During his lifetime, Clay Robison has upheld the

1-19     highest standards of professional excellence, and he indeed merits

1-20     special recognition as he celebrates this significant event; now,

1-21     therefore, be it

1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-23     Legislature hereby congratulate William Clay Robison on the

1-24     occasion of his 50th birthday and extend to him warmest best wishes

 2-1     for continued success and happiness; and, be it further

 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-3     prepared for Mr. Robison as an expression of high regard by the

 2-4     Texas House  of Representatives.
