R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The family and many friends of Dustin Lloyd "Dusty" 1-2 Norris were greatly saddened by his passing on February 8, 1997, at 1-3 the age of 15; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Dusty lent his many talents to a number of 1-5 endeavors, including his active membership in Sierra Vista United 1-6 Methodist Church, and wherever he went his presence was welcome; 1-7 and 1-8 WHEREAS, He was also an outstanding athlete and exercised his 1-9 athletic skills both as pitcher for the Central High School 1-10 sophomore baseball team and through his favorite pastime of 1-11 rollerblading; and 1-12 WHEREAS, A young man of considerable gifts, Dusty Norris will 1-13 be fondly remembered as a warm companion whose considerable wit was 1-14 tempered by his compassionate nature, and who faced a future bright 1-15 with promise; although he will be deeply missed, his memory will 1-16 long live on in the hearts of the many people whose lives he 1-17 touched; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-19 Legislature hereby honor the memory of Dustin Lloyd Norris and 1-20 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his 1-21 parents, Lloyd and Sheri Norris; to his sisters, Angela and Chancey 1-22 Norris; to his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. I. Norris and Mr. and 1-23 Mrs. J. L. Barton; and to the many other members of his family; 1-24 and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-3 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-4 Dustin Lloyd Norris.
