                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans

 1-2     who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a

 1-3     memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Albert and Georgia "Ann" Herreth will have the

 1-5     privilege of commemorating such a momentous event in their lives

 1-6     when they celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on March 9,

 1-7     1997, with a reception hosted by their family; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, United in matrimony at First Christian Church of Bay

 1-9     City on March 7, 1947, the Herreths have nurtured an enduring

1-10     relationship that has grown in love and respect with each passing

1-11     year and that has been blessed with three children, Melissa Diane,

1-12     Albert "Abby" Elton, and Brett Ramzel; and

1-13           WHEREAS, Today deservedly reaping the many benefits of a full

1-14     and active life together, the Herreths find they now have more time

1-15     to participate in their favorite leisure activities, and they

1-16     treasure the time they spend with their family, which has grown to

1-17     include a beloved grandson, Albert William Rice Herreth; and

1-18           WHEREAS, For a half-century, Albert and Georgia "Ann" Herreth

1-19     have shared a warm and affectionate union filled with many happy

1-20     times and cherished family memories; built on a solid foundation of

1-21     mutual love, trust, and support, their marriage has been a source

1-22     of joy and inspiration to the many friends and family of this

1-23     fortunate pair; now, therefore, be it

1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-1     Legislature hereby congratulate Albert and Georgia "Ann" Herreth on

 2-2     the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them

 2-3     warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

 2-4           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-5     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Herreth as an expression of high regard

 2-6     by the Texas House of Representatives.
