                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The sudden passing of Kit Austin Christopher on

 1-2     September 14, 1996, at the age of 16, brought great sadness to the

 1-3     relatives and many friends who loved and admired this exceptional

 1-4     young man; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, A native of Beaumont, he attended Hardin-Jefferson

 1-6     High School, where his dynamic personality was matched only by his

 1-7     thoughtfulness and sensitivity; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, In his short lifetime, Mr. Christopher was a born

 1-9     entertainer, amusing family and friends alike with uncanny

1-10     imitations  of singers, actors, and athletes, bringing a smile to

1-11     all who witnessed; and

1-12           WHEREAS, Kit Austin Christopher's devotion and loyalty to his

1-13     family, friends, and teammates have been missed by all, and the

1-14     passion for life exhibited by this bright young man will never be

1-15     forgotten; now, therefore, be it

1-16           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-17     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life  of Kit Austin

1-18     Christopher and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his

1-19     family: to his parents, Gary and Cheryl Christopher; to his

1-20     brothers and sisters-in-law, Wes and Karen Christopher, and Monty

1-21     and Holly Christopher; to his sister and brother-in-law, Molly and

1-22     Davis Watson; to his grandparents, Robert and Virginia Christopher

1-23     Monroe; and to all the relatives and friends of this remarkable

1-24     young Texan; and, be it further

 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-2     prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas

 2-3     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of

 2-4     Kit Austin Christopher.
