R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, September 22, 1996, was indeed a special day for

 1-2     Joan Miller and Jimmy David Miller, Jr., for it was on that day

 1-3     that they became the proud parents of a beautiful daughter,

 1-4     Elizabeth Daisy Miller; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, Since making her debut just a few short months ago,

 1-6     this adorable child has won the hearts of all who know her, and her

 1-7     irresistible smile has made her a welcome addition to the Elgin

 1-8     community; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, Elizabeth Daisy is the cherished granddaughter of

1-10     Margie and Lawrence Matetzschk and Peggy Joyce and Jimmy David

1-11     Miller, Sr., and all of Peggy Miller's colleagues in the House

1-12     Business Office, as well as friends and relatives of Mr. and

1-13     Mrs. Miller, have been privileged to share their jubilation and

1-14     excitement as they have welcomed this lovely little girl into their

1-15     family; and

1-16           WHEREAS, Blessed with personality, charm, and a proud Lone

1-17     Star birthright that will follow her wherever she goes, this fine

1-18     young Texan has indeed brightened the lives of everyone around her,

1-19     and she is a tremendous source of joy and delight to her family and

1-20     many new admirers; now, therefore, be it

1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-22     Legislature hereby officially welcome Elizabeth Daisy Miller as a

1-23     new citizen of Texas and extend sincere congratulations to Joan and

1-24     Jimmy David Miller, Jr., on the birth of their darling new

 2-1     daughter; and, be it further

 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-3     prepared for the Miller family as an expression of high regard by

 2-4     the Texas House of Representatives.
