R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 Ian Charles Simpson on his designation as Lucky Lady Oil Company 1-3 Driver of the Year for 1996; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A resident of Flower Mound, Mr. Simpson is the 1-5 senior driver on the night shift for Lucky Lady, and his driving 1-6 ability and leadership have earned him the respect and admiration 1-7 of his peers; and 1-8 WHEREAS, This highly motivated individual began his career in 1-9 the fuel transportation business in 1982; he joined the staff at 1-10 Lucky Lady in 1990, and his exceptional efforts earned him Driver 1-11 of the Year honors at the close of his first year with the company; 1-12 and 1-13 WHEREAS, He is supported in all his endeavors by his devoted 1-14 wife, Frances, and he is also a source of great pride to his 1-15 seven-year-old daughter, Amanda; and 1-16 WHEREAS, The transportation of fuel is a vital aspect of the 1-17 petroleum industry, and by setting standards of safety and 1-18 responsibility to which all in his profession can aspire, Ian 1-19 Charles Simpson has indeed performed a valuable service for his 1-20 company, state, and fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-22 Legislature hereby congratulate Ian Charles Simpson on being named 1-23 Lucky Lady Oil Company Driver of the Year for 1996 and extend to 1-24 him best wishes for continued success in the future; and, be it 2-1 further 2-2 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-3 prepared for Mr. Simpson as an expression of high regard by the 2-4 Texas House of Representatives.
