No. 355 75R8194 SAJ-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On March 31, 1996, Julia Hardin-Woolever retired 1-2 from her post as administrative assistant to the president of Sul 1-3 Ross State University, drawing to a close a distinguished career 1-4 with the institution that spanned 30 years; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Hardin-Woolever joined the college's staff as a 1-6 secretary in 1965; since that time, she has proven herself a loyal 1-7 and effective assistant to five different university presidents; 1-8 and 1-9 WHEREAS, Called on to perform a wide variety of tasks during 1-10 her tenure with the school, Mrs. Hardin-Woolever executed all of 1-11 her duties with the same integrity, attention to detail, and 1-12 diligence throughout her career; and 1-13 WHEREAS, In all her endeavors she has enjoyed the love and 1-14 support of her family, which includes her beloved husband, Stan 1-15 Woolever, and her son, Chris Hardin; more recently, the couple 1-16 have welcomed the addition of two beloved granddaughters, Lauren 1-17 and Debbie, into their close-knit family; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Mrs. Hardin-Woolever's high degree of 1-19 professionalism and genuine commitment to her work have been a 1-20 source of inspiration to many people, and she is truly worthy of 1-21 special praise and recognition for her remarkable tenure; now, 1-22 therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby commend Julia Hardin-Woolever on her dedicated 2-1 service to Sul Ross State University and extend to her warmest best 2-2 wishes for a happy and rewarding retirement; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Mrs. Hardin-Woolever as an expression of high regard 2-5 by the Texas House of Representatives.
