No. 363 75R9402 JHS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Jason Kenneth Stone on 1-2 August 24, 1996, at the age of 17, brought a great loss to the 1-3 family and many friends of this much-loved young man; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Born in Dallas on December 8, 1978, Mr. Stone was an 1-5 avid fisherman and a devoted musician who had just begun a new 1-6 career with North Central Ford in Richardson; after many years in 1-7 Lively, he had recently relocated to Leonard; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Known for his upbeat personality and caring nature, 1-9 this energetic individual was determined to make his own way in the 1-10 world; he was always willing to lend a hand to friends and 1-11 neighbors in times of need, and it was this selfless attitude that 1-12 endeared him to the members of his community; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Jason Kenneth Stone will long be remembered for the 1-14 final heroic deed that claimed his life and the life of his close 1-15 friend Danielle Smalley, and although his compassion and generosity 1-16 of spirit have been missed by all who knew him, his memory has 1-17 endured in the hearts and minds of the many people whose lives he 1-18 touched; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jason Kenneth Stone 1-21 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his 1-22 mother and stepfather, Glenda and Jerry Morris; to his father and 1-23 stepmother, Kenneth and Torie Stone; to his siblings, Justin Stone, 1-24 Josh Stone, Jeremiah Bullock, and Angela Powell; and to the many 2-1 other relatives and friends of this fine young man; and, be it 2-2 further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-5 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-6 Jason Kenneth Stone.
