R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The golden wedding anniversary of two notable Texans

 1-2     is indeed an event worthy of special praise and recognition, and on

 1-3     April 6, 1997, Benjamin and Anna Dell Kowalik of Falls City will

 1-4     join their friends and family in celebrating one such event; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, Joined in matrimony on April 8, 1947, in Poth,

 1-6     Mr. and Mrs. Kowalik have since worked side by side to create their

 1-7     life together, dedicating their skills and energy to their

 1-8     livelihood of farming and ranching and to the equally demanding but

 1-9     worthwhile work of raising their children; and

1-10           WHEREAS, Throughout the years Mr. and Mrs. Kowalik have taken

1-11     great pride and joy in their large and loving family, including

1-12     their children and children's spouses, Vivian and Eli Urbanczyk,

1-13     Ben and Carol Kowalik, and Annette and Richard Gorzell; more

1-14     recently, they have welcomed the addition of eight grandchildren,

1-15     Bradley Urbanczyk, Rodney Urbanczyk, Kevin Urbanczyk, Daryl

1-16     Kowalik, Dawn Kowalik, Brandon Gorzell, Kristen Gorzell, and Cody

1-17     Gorzell; and

1-18           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kowalik also draw great strength and

1-19     inspiration from their association with Holy Trinity Catholic

1-20     Church, and by commemorating their anniversary with a mass at the

1-21     church, they express their love of God even as they reaffirm their

1-22     own sacred vows of marriage; and

1-23           WHEREAS, For half a century, Benjamin and Anna Dell Kowalik

1-24     have enjoyed a relationship that has continued to grow in mutual

 2-1     affection and regard, and they can take pride and satisfaction in

 2-2     their many achievements as a couple and as a family; now,

 2-3     therefore, be it

 2-4           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-5     Legislature hereby congratulate Benjamin and Anna Dell Kowalik on

 2-6     the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them

 2-7     sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in the

 2-8     future; and, be it further

 2-9           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-10     prepared  for Mr. and Mrs. Kowalik as an expression of high regard

2-11     by the Texas House of Representatives.
