R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans

 1-2     who have shared more than 60 happy and rewarding years of marriage

 1-3     is truly a memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Rex and Mildred Wagoner commemorated such a special

 1-5     event in their lives when they celebrated their 61st wedding

 1-6     anniversary on January 30, 1997, at their home in Laguna Vista; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, A cornerstone of the Wagoners' successful marriage

 1-8     has been their ability to work together in every aspect of their

 1-9     lives; both served for many years as highly regarded members of the

1-10     faculty at Gainesville High School, where Mr. Wagoner worked as a

1-11     math teacher, counselor, and golf coach, and Mrs. Wagoner taught

1-12     home economics; and

1-13           WHEREAS, For more than six decades, Rex and Mildred Wagoner's

1-14     mutual affection and regard have continued to grow and flourish,

1-15     and their lifetime together is truly a source of pride and

1-16     inspiration to their family and many friends; now, therefore, be it

1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-18     Legislature hereby congratulate Rex and Mildred Wagoner on their

1-19     61st wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for

1-20     continued success and happiness in the future; and, be it further

1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

1-22     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Wagoner as an expression of high regard

1-23     by the Texas House of Representatives.
