R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The golden wedding anniversary of two outstanding

 1-2     Texans is indeed an event worthy of recognition and commemoration,

 1-3     for it signifies a major milestone for the couple and is a

 1-4     testament to their love and mutual dedication; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, On February 16, 1997, the Reverend D. S. "Bud"

 1-6     Moore, Jr., and Frances Moore celebrated this special occasion at a

 1-7     reception hosted by their children and their children's spouses,

 1-8     Sheryl and Danny Carter, Jeanie and C. L. Williams, and Tim and

 1-9     Robbie Moore; and

1-10           WHEREAS, Through the years the Moores have derived great joy

1-11     and satisfaction from their loving family, their many friends, and

1-12     their involvement in their church and community, and today they

1-13     enjoy the company of their cherished grandchildren as well; and

1-14           WHEREAS, For half a century, Bud and Frances Moore's deep

1-15     affection and regard for each other have continued to grow and

1-16     flourish, and their lifetime together is a source of immense pride

1-17     and inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it

1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-19     Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend D. S. "Bud" Moore,

1-20     Jr., and Frances Moore on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend

1-21     to them sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in

1-22     the future; and, be it further

1-23           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

1-24     prepared for Reverend and Mrs. Moore as an expression of high

 2-1     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
