R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 the Decora Study Club of Victoria for its outstanding service to 1-3 the Lone Star State; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Since the club's founding in 1950, its many loyal 1-5 members have remained committed to the group's motto: "Better 1-6 Homes, Better Citizens and A Better World"; and 1-7 WHEREAS, An affiliate of the Texas Federation of Women's 1-8 Clubs, the organization sponsors worthy programs in a variety of 1-9 areas, including the arts, conservation, education, home life, 1-10 Texas heritage, and both international and public affairs; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Club members have helped to make their community a 1-12 better place in which to live, work, and raise a family through 1-13 their generous support of many local initiatives; in addition, they 1-14 participate in an annual project to assist Houston's M. D. Anderson 1-15 Cancer Center, and their commitment to these and many other 1-16 endeavors has earned them the heartfelt gratitude of their fellow 1-17 Texans; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Throughout its proud history, the Decora Study Club 1-19 has enhanced the quality of life of countless individuals, and it 1-20 gives the members of this chamber great pleasure to recognize all 1-21 those associated with the club for their exceptional efforts in 1-22 behalf of others; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby congratulate the officers and members of the 2-1 Decora Study Club on the organization's exemplary civic involvement 2-2 and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success in the 2-3 future; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-5 prepared for the Decora Study Club as an expression of high regard 2-6 by the Texas House of Representatives.
