R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor

 1-2     William L. "Will" Sheppard for his many achievements and

 1-3     congratulate him on being named an Empowering Teen Leader by the

 1-4     Texas Agricultural Extension Service; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, A student at Houston's North Shore High School, he

 1-6     has successfully balanced the demands of his course load with

 1-7     participation in the North Shore chapter of Future Farmers of

 1-8     America and the Channelview 4-H Club, and he has won numerous

 1-9     awards for his outstanding animal husbandry skills; and

1-10           WHEREAS, In addition, this remarkable young Texan has held

1-11     several part-time jobs while pursuing his education, and as an

1-12     Empowering Teen Leader, he has shown that with hard work and

1-13     determination, others too can strive toward reaching their highest

1-14     potential; and

1-15           WHEREAS, Will Sheppard has demonstrated exceptional

1-16     intelligence, initiative, and maturity in successfully pursuing a

1-17     variety of academic and career interests, and he is indeed

1-18     deserving of special legislative recognition for his remarkable

1-19     achievements; now, therefore, be it

1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-21     Legislature hereby honor William L. "Will" Sheppard on being named

1-22     an Empowering Teen Leader and extend a warm welcome to him on the

1-23     occasion of his visit to the State Capitol; and, be it further

1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-1     prepared  for Mr. Sheppard as an expression of high regard by the

 2-2     Texas House of Representatives.
