R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, March 20, 1997, is a day of great significance for 1-2 Julian Harrison, for on this day he will celebrate his seventh 1-3 birthday; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Currently a student in the first grade at Tyler 1-5 Street Christian Academy, Julian is an avid reader and has 1-6 demonstrated considerable ability in math and music; additionally, 1-7 he was recently selected to compete in an oratorical contest to be 1-8 held March 26, 1997, at the school; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Julian is an expert at video games, and enjoys 1-10 playing them with his many cousins and friends; he also shares much 1-11 of his free time with his beloved dog, Mocha, who recently added 1-12 seven puppies to the Harrison household; and 1-13 WHEREAS, When he reaches adulthood, this determined young 1-14 Texan hopes to become a certified public accountant, following in 1-15 the footsteps of his grandfather, who was the first 1-16 African-American C.P.A. in the state of Louisiana; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Julian is a source of great pride to his parents, 1-18 Felicia Petre and Huelon Harrison, and it is indeed a great 1-19 pleasure to join with his many friends and relatives to honor him 1-20 on the anniversary of his birth; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-22 Legislature hereby congratulate Julian Harrison on the joyous 1-23 occasion of his seventh birthday and extend to him sincere best 1-24 wishes for much happiness in the years to come; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for Julian Harrison as an expression of the sentiment of 2-3 the Texas House of Representatives.
