R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to

 1-2     offer congratulations to Kirk Edward and Keli Lynn Swann on the

 1-3     birth of their cherished baby boy, George Allen Swann; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Born February 6, 1997, at 6:46 p.m., George Allen

 1-5     weighed in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 21 inches in length

 1-6     when he made his debut at Seton Hospital in Austin; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning

 1-8     personality, this adorable baby boy has indeed brightened the lives

 1-9     of everyone around him, and he is a tremendous source of pride and

1-10     joy to his family and many new admirers; and

1-11           WHEREAS, George Allen is also a continuing delight to his

1-12     devoted grandparents, George Edward and Vona Rae Swann of Rockport

1-13     and Jambres Culberson and Mary Allene Wise of Santa Fe, Texas; both

1-14     families were honored by the choice of their grandson's name, as he

1-15     was named for both his paternal grandfather and great-grandfather

1-16     as well as his maternal great-grandfather; and

1-17           WHEREAS, Friends and relatives of Kirk and Keli Swann have

1-18     been privileged to share their jubilation and excitement as they

1-19     have welcomed this special little boy into their family, and it is

1-20     indeed fitting that the members of this chamber extend a warm

1-21     welcome to George Allen Swann and recognize him as a treasured new

1-22     citizen of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it

1-23           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-24     Legislature hereby officially welcome George Allen Swann as a

 2-1     citizen of Texas and express hearty congratulations to Kirk and

 2-2     Keli Swann on this auspicious occasion; and, be it further

 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-4     prepared for the Swann family as an expression of high regard by

 2-5     the Texas House of Representatives.
