R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On February 28, 1997, Bruce Flagg received his 1-2 associate degree in drafting and design technology from Texas State 1-3 Technical College-Harlingen, graduating at the top of his class, 1-4 and this happy occasion is truly worthy of special praise and 1-5 recognition; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A talented engineering student, Mr. Flagg 1-7 distinguished himself among his classmates by maintaining a grade 1-8 average of 4.0, and he overcame a hearing disability to make this 1-9 achievement all the more impressive; and 1-10 WHEREAS, His outstanding academic record is characteristic of 1-11 his pursuit of excellence in his education, and he also graduated 1-12 from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf with a 4.0 1-13 average, receiving a degree in applied computer technology from 1-14 that institution; and 1-15 WHEREAS, During the course of his studies at Harlingen, 1-16 Mr. Flagg benefited greatly from the steadfast support of his wife, 1-17 Toni Flagg Sica, who takes great pride and satisfaction in his most 1-18 recent accomplishment; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby congratulate Bruce Flagg on his graduation from 1-21 Texas State Technical College-Harlingen and extend to him sincere 1-22 best wishes for continued success and happiness in the future; and, 1-23 be it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-1 prepared for Mr. Flagg as an expression of high regard by the Texas 2-2 House of Representatives.
