                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor

 1-2     Felicia Moon for the many significant contributions she has made to

 1-3     her fellow Texans; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, A woman of immense devotion, Mrs. Moon has had a

 1-5     profound effect on numerous individuals through her Christian

 1-6     writing; the president of Seeds of Faith Christian Writer's Club &

 1-7     Critique Group, she is working on her first novel, based on Matthew

 1-8     16:23,  titled Things of Men, and she recently established a

 1-9     publishing company, Forgiven Press; and

1-10           WHEREAS, This remarkable woman serves on the board of the

1-11     Sugar Land day chapter of Aglow International as the club's

1-12     promotions chair, and she travels extensively across the country

1-13     with Bill Glass Ministries, offering hope and understanding to

1-14     incarcerated women; and

1-15           WHEREAS, Deeply committed to prison ministry, Mrs. Moon and

1-16     her husband recently launched the Rock of Faith Prison Library

1-17     Project to broaden the availability of faith-building books in

1-18     prisons and jails throughout the state, and she is involved in a

1-19     fund-raising effort to benefit the Chapels of Hope Project as well;

1-20     and

1-21           WHEREAS, She has drawn on the experiences of her youth to

1-22     counsel young people, and her candid Spirit-led messages have

1-23     helped many young Texans to center their lives around Jesus Christ;

1-24     Mrs. Moon has also worked for the betterment of the youth of our

 2-1     state as vice president of the Fort Bend Juvenile Advisory Council;

 2-2     and

 2-3           WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, she has treasured the love and

 2-4     support of her husband, Warren Moon, and the couple's four

 2-5     children, Joshua, Chelsea, Blair, and Jeffrey; and

 2-6           WHEREAS, Felicia Moon has served the Lord and her community

 2-7     in countless ways, and the State of Texas is truly a better place

 2-8     because of her exceptional commitment; now, therefore, be it

 2-9           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

2-10     Legislature hereby honor Felicia Moon for her exemplary work in

2-11     behalf of others and extend to her warmest best wishes for

2-12     continued success and fulfillment in the future; and, be it further

2-13           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-14     prepared for Mrs. Moon as an expression of high regard by the Texas

2-15     House of Representatives.
