                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, On August 6, 1997, Glen Evelyn Hallmark Dunn of

 1-2     Sterling City will reach a significant milestone in a full and

 1-3     generous life when she celebrates her 80th birthday; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, A native of Crockett County, she was born to Luther

 1-5     and Glennora Hallmark and was graduated from Sterling City High

 1-6     School; she wed C. J. Dunn, and the happy couple treasured their

 1-7     time together until his passing; and

 1-8           WHEREAS, Mrs. Dunn is well known throughout the area as an

 1-9     ardent supporter of the Sterling City Eagles; affectionately known

1-10     as "Granny," she has cheered her alma mater to victory for more

1-11     than 50 years, and her warm and caring nature has earned her a

1-12     special place in the hearts of the school's basketball team

1-13     members, who send her cards on Valentine's Day; and

1-14           WHEREAS, Her devotion to the community is surpassed only by

1-15     her love of family; Mrs. Dunn is the devoted mother of four

1-16     children, Bobby Dunn, Betty Glass, Barba Clanton, and Beverly

1-17     Howard, and she has welcomed 16 grandchildren and  nine

1-18     great-grandchildren into the family fold; and

1-19           WHEREAS, This lovely woman has brought great joy and

1-20     happiness to the countless people whose lives she has touched, and

1-21     she indeed merits special legislative recognition as she prepares

1-22     to celebrate her special day; now, therefore, be it

1-23           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-24     Legislature hereby congratulate Glen Evelyn Hallmark Dunn on the

 2-1     occasion of her 80th birthday and extend to her warmest best wishes

 2-2     for continued good fortune and happiness; and, be it further

 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-4     prepared for Mrs. Dunn as an expression of high regard by the Texas

 2-5     House of Representatives.
