R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, Corey Rosenbusch of Glen Rose has been elected as
1-2 the national FFA president for 1996-1997, and this accomplishment
1-3 is truly deserving of special legislative recognition; and
1-4 WHEREAS, Mr. Rosenbusch has earned a unique opportunity to
1-5 serve one of our nation's most valued organizations in an important
1-6 leadership position; in addition to meeting with many of the
1-7 country's 452,885 FFA members during the course of his year-long
1-8 term, he and his team of five officers will also travel to Japan,
1-9 where they will discuss global agriculture and trade issues; and
1-10 WHEREAS, The 1995-1996 Texas association president,
1-11 Mr. Rosenbusch is on sabbatical from Texas A&M University, where he
1-12 is majoring in agricultural development; this dedicated individual
1-13 has set his sights on a career as a teacher or as a leadership
1-14 development and communications specialist, and he hopes to one day
1-15 serve his fellow Texans in the political arena; and
1-16 WHEREAS, A member of the National Honor Society,
1-17 Mr. Rosenbusch was named valedictorian of his high school
1-18 graduating class and served as student council president; he is the
1-19 recipient of the American FFA Degree, the most prestigious award
1-20 offered by the organization, and is a former Mr. Texas FFA, a
1-21 position that involved significant public relations and recruiting
1-22 skills; and
1-23 WHEREAS, This fine young man has distinguished himself among
1-24 his peers through his dedication to FFA, and his many successes and
2-1 most recent accomplishment have rightfully earned him the respect
2-2 and admiration of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
2-3 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas
2-4 Legislature hereby congratulate Corey Rosenbusch on his election as
2-5 national FFA president and extend to him sincere best wishes for
2-6 continued success and happiness in the years to come; and, be it
2-7 further
2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-9 prepared for Mr. Rosenbusch as an expression of high regard by the
2-10 Texas House of Representatives.
