R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Johnnie Mosley of Lockney has distinguished himself 1-2 as an outstanding student, a gifted artist, and an emerging leader 1-3 of note, and it is indeed fitting at this time to recognize this 1-4 remarkable young Texan for his many achievements; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Currently the national president of the Future 1-6 Homemakers of America/Home Economics Related Occupations 1-7 (FHA/HERO), Mr. Mosley has given freely of his time and energy to 1-8 this worthwhile organization, serving as Texas State FHA/HERO 1-9 parliamentarian, Region I FHA/HERO vice president of programs, 1-10 Lockney FHA/HERO vice president of projects, and Lockney FHA/HERO 1-11 president; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. Mosley is a vital and valued citizen in his 1-13 hometown, and his contributions to the community have been both 1-14 diverse and warmly received; a dedicated fund-raiser on behalf of 1-15 Medina Children's Home and the American Cancer Society, he also 1-16 devoted more than 100 hours to the creation and placement of tiles 1-17 in Lockney's Wall of Pride beautification project; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Accomplished in many fields, Mr. Mosley not only 1-19 enjoys drawing and playing basketball but is also a fine pianist 1-20 and singer, and he has performed a musical patriotic address of his 1-21 own composition at Wayland Baptist University and at numerous civic 1-22 functions; and 1-23 WHEREAS, Johnnie Mosley's remarkable talent, dedication, and 1-24 generosity of spirit have greatly benefited his fellow Texans and 2-1 his colleagues across the country, and his great successes of the 2-2 past 17 years point to an equally bright future; now, therefore, be 2-3 it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-5 Legislature hereby honor Johnnie Mosley for his service to the Lone 2-6 Star State and extend to him a warm welcome to the State Capitol; 2-7 and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Mr. Mosley as an expression of high regard by the 2-10 Texas House of Representatives.
