                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, On March 15, 1997, San Antonio police officer

 1-2     RoseMary Reyna Flammia was promoted to the rank of captain, and

 1-3     this notable achievement is indeed worthy of special praise and

 1-4     recognition; and

 1-5           WHEREAS, A police officer since 1977, Captain Flammia has

 1-6     long been known for her dedication to her work, and throughout the

 1-7     years her professionalism and integrity have benefited the San

 1-8     Antonio Police Department in a number of divisions, including the

 1-9     Internal Audit Unit, the Traffic Section, and the Professional

1-10     Standards Section; and

1-11           WHEREAS, Captain Flammia's initiative and leadership skills

1-12     were reflected in her assignments as assistant to the chief and as

1-13     the field training coordinator at the Police Training Academy, and

1-14     her outstanding accomplishments in these positions bode well for

1-15     her career as a captain; and

1-16           WHEREAS, Captain Flammia received her bachelor's degree in

1-17     education from Weyland Baptist University in 1994, and her

1-18     commitment to broadening her horizons in this fashion is truly

1-19     admirable; and

1-20           WHEREAS, RoseMary Flammia has established herself as a police

1-21     officer of distinction, and as she opens a new chapter in her

1-22     remarkable career, it is fitting that she be recognized for her

1-23     many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it

1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-1     Legislature hereby congratulate San Antonio police officer RoseMary

 2-2     Reyna Flammia on her promotion to the rank of captain and extend to

 2-3     her sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in the

 2-4     future; and, be it further

 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-6     prepared for Captain Flammia as an expression of high regard by the

 2-7     Texas House of Representatives.
