No. 541 75R10006 SAJ-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans 1-2 who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a 1-3 memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Ray and Lorelle Dodson of Sherman commemorated such 1-5 a momentous event in their lives when they celebrated their golden 1-6 wedding anniversary on March 8, 1997; and 1-7 WHEREAS, United in matrimony at Key Memorial Parsonage in 1-8 Sherman, the Dodsons have nurtured an enduring relationship that 1-9 has grown in love and mutual respect with each passing year and 1-10 that has been blessed with two sons, Michael and Keith; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Throughout their life together, the couple have been 1-12 industrious and welcomed members of their community; Mr. Dodson is 1-13 highly regarded for his lengthy and successful career with Quaker 1-14 Oats Company and Contential Grain as plant manager, while his 1-15 lovely and gracious wife has dedicated herself to providing a warm 1-16 and secure home for their family; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Now enjoying the many benefits of a full life 1-18 together, the Dodsons find they have more time to pursue their 1-19 favorite leisure activities, and they treasure the time they spend 1-20 with their family, which has grown to include their 1-21 daughters-in-law, Linda Dodson and Debra Dodson, and three beloved 1-22 grandchildren; and 1-23 WHEREAS, For a half-century, Ray and Lorelle Dodson have 1-24 shared a warm and affectionate union filled with many happy times 2-1 and cherished family memories, and their life together has been a 2-2 source of joy and inspiration to the many friends and family of 2-3 this fortunate pair; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-5 Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Lorelle Dodson on the 2-6 occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 2-7 warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Dodson as an expression of high regard by 2-10 the Texas House of Representatives.
