                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, Exxon Chemical Americas has selected the Hoechst

 1-2     Celanese Corporation as one of five recipients of its inaugural

 1-3     Supplier Excellence Awards, and the presentation of this award to

 1-4     the group's Bay City plant is indeed an occasion worthy of

 1-5     recognition; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, Chosen from a field of 10,000 suppliers, Hoechst

 1-7     Celanese is credited with greatly improving its customer supply

 1-8     process, a change that has helped to lower the cost of doing

 1-9     business with the company; the raw material supplier was also

1-10     recognized for its innovative and progressive business practices

1-11     and for the company's commitment to helping Exxon Chemical achieve

1-12     its long-term business plans; and

1-13           WHEREAS, This award recognizes the hard work and dedication

1-14     of the Hoechst Celanese Corporation's employees and is a credit to

1-15     the goal-oriented mentality that has helped to make the company a

1-16     leader in its field; now, therefore, be it

1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-18     Legislature hereby congratulate the employees of the Hoechst

1-19     Celanese Corporation on this excellent accomplishment and extend to

1-20     them sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in the

1-21     years to come; and, be it further

1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

1-23     prepared for the Hoechst Celanese Corporation as an expression of

1-24     high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
