R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Mike Kincer on March 18, 1997, at the
1-2 age of 38, has brought a great loss to the family and many friends
1-3 of this distinguished Lubbock resident; and
1-4 WHEREAS, Born February 9, 1959, in Fort Worth, he was
1-5 graduated from Texas Tech University and was a proud member of the
1-6 United States Marine Reserves; and
1-7 WHEREAS, Mr. Kincer was well regarded throughout the area for
1-8 his successful business career and was a valued employee of
1-9 Phillips Petroleum Company before becoming vice president of the
1-10 L. T. Kincer Company; and
1-11 WHEREAS, This respected businessman further contributed to
1-12 the community as a member of the American Cottonseed Delinters
1-13 Association, the Southern Seedsman Association, and the Texas Grain
1-14 and Feed Association, and he made time in his busy schedule to
1-15 serve the Republican Party as a precinct chairman; and
1-16 WHEREAS, During his lifetime, Mike Kincer touched the lives
1-17 of many people, and though his presence will be deeply missed, his
1-18 memory will surely endure in the hearts and minds of all who came
1-19 to know and love him; now, therefore, be it
1-20 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas
1-21 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Mike Kincer and
1-22 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
1-23 Monica Prather Kincer; to his daughters, Kendall and Kayleigh; to
1-24 his mother, Barbara Kincer; to his father and stepmother, Danny and
2-1 Norma Kincer; to his three sisters, Cindy Hernandez, Karen
2-2 McAuliffe, and Denise Kincer; to his grandmother, Theresa Wilke;
2-3 and to the many other friends and relatives of this fine gentleman;
2-4 and, be it further
2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-6 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
2-7 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2-8 Mike Kincer.
