R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas Association for Symphony Orchestras is

 1-2     holding its yearly conference in Austin on April 17-20, 1998; and

 1-3           WHEREAS, With more than 125 delegates from 29 cities across

 1-4     the state, the conference provides an informative and entertaining

 1-5     opportunity to foster the promotion of symphony orchestras in

 1-6     Texas; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, The association has requested the use of the house

 1-8     chamber on April 17, 1998, to conduct the opening session of its

 1-9     annual seminar; and

1-10           WHEREAS, It is appropriate that the Texas House of

1-11     Representatives lend its support to the Texas Association for

1-12     Symphony Orchestras to further the organization's worthy efforts in

1-13     behalf of music in the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it

1-14           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-15     Legislature, in accordance with house rules and with the policies

1-16     and procedures of the House Administration Committee, hereby grant

1-17     permission to the Texas Association for Symphony Orchestras to use

1-18     the house chamber on April 17, 1998, provided the house of

1-19     representatives is not in session on that date.
