R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure as president of the government 1-2 systems group at Day & Zimmermann, Inc., Dale F. Kinney has 1-3 displayed a bold vision of the company's future as well as 1-4 tremendous loyalty to the State of Texas; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mr. Kinney's exemplary efforts to define and enhance 1-6 the role of business management have earned him the respect and 1-7 admiration of his fellow managers; by implementing unique and 1-8 innovative strategies designed to improve the quality of management 1-9 in America, he has firmly established his place in the upper 1-10 echelon of this essential field; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Though Mr. Kinney exhibits such typically Texan 1-12 traits as leadership, tenacity, and professionalism, this 1-13 accomplished individual does not in fact hail from the Lone Star 1-14 State, and as he is unable to claim this prominent birthright, the 1-15 members of this chamber have elected to intervene in his behalf and 1-16 amend the unfortunate circumstance that has denied him this 1-17 significant advantage; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Dale F. Kinney has demonstrated exceptional 1-19 allegiance to the State of Texas throughout his association with 1-20 Day & Zimmermann, Inc., and the Texas House of Representatives 1-21 takes great pleasure in rectifying the grave mistake that has left 1-22 this esteemed individual unable to call himself a Texan; now, 1-23 therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby declare Dale F. Kinney to be an Honorary Texan 2-2 with all the privileges and perquisites accorded those individuals 2-3 actually born on our state's hallowed ground; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-5 prepared for Mr. Kinney as formal proof of his new status.
