R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, H. L. Yoh, Jr., has demonstrated exemplary 1-2 allegiance to the State of Texas through his outstanding service as 1-3 chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Day & 1-4 Zimmermann, Inc.; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The dedication and commitment of this noteworthy 1-6 gentleman have inspired countless individuals to aim higher in 1-7 their pursuit of the total quality management goal, and his 1-8 tireless efforts to meet new management challenges have helped to 1-9 foster increased respect for the management profession; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Although the numerous positive traits exhibited by 1-11 Mr. Yoh would seem to indicate a proper Texas upbringing, it is 1-12 nonetheless true that, due to circumstances beyond his control, he 1-13 was forced to begin his life outside the friendly confines of the 1-14 Lone Star State; for this reason, the members of this chamber seek 1-15 to rectify this grievous error that has caused him to pass the 1-16 majority of his life without the benefits of Texas citizenship; and 1-17 WHEREAS, H. L. Yoh, Jr., has maintained the highest standards 1-18 of excellence and professionalism throughout his distinguished 1-19 tenure with Day & Zimmermann, Inc., and the Texas House of 1-20 Representatives is proud to bestow this unique honor on him at this 1-21 time; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby declare H. L. Yoh, Jr., to be an Honorary Texan 1-24 with all the privileges and perquisites accorded those individuals 2-1 actually born on our state's hallowed soil; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-3 prepared for Mr. Yoh as formal proof of his new status.
