                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, April 15, 1997, marks an important dual milestone

 1-2     for both Travel Host, Inc.  and its founder Mr. Jim Burger of

 1-3     Dallas, Texas; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, On April 15, 1967, Mr. Burger fulfilled his

 1-5     life-long dream of promoting tourism in both Texas and the rest of

 1-6     the United States by establishing Travel Host, Inc., a company

 1-7     which publishes a magazine spot-lighting various tourist

 1-8     attractions throughout Texas and the United States; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, A staple in nearly every fine hotel in the United

1-10     States, Travel Host takes pride in helping each locality promote

1-11     its tourism as a vital form of the community's economic

1-12     development; at the same time, Travel Host has grown from just a

1-13     Texas dream into a thriving multi-million dollar company; and

1-14           WHEREAS, While Mr. Burger celebrates Travel Host's 30th year

1-15     of operation, he also marks, on April 15th, his 57th birthday; and

1-16           WHEREAS, This fine Texan, who served his city as a member of

1-17     the Dallas City Council and who has been active in numerous civic

1-18     and business organizations in Dallas, continues to dedicate himself

1-19     to serving his community in a myriad of capacities; now, therefore

1-20     be it

1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives, of the 75th

 2-1     Texas Legislature, does hereby commend Travel Host, Inc., for

 2-2     marking its 30th Anniversary of operation, and extends its warmest

 2-3     best wishes to Travel Host's founder Mr. Jim Burger on the occasion

 2-4     of his 57th birthday; and be it further

 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-6     presented to Travel Host, Inc. and its founder, Mr. Jim Burger as a

 2-7     token of the highest regard and esteem from the Texas House of

 2-8     Representatives.
