R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
1-2 Craig Trammell of Amarillo, whose recent heroic actions saved the
1-3 life of 73-year-old Louise Brown; and
1-4 WHEREAS, While delivering newspapers to customers on his
1-5 daughter's paper route, this humanitarian heard cries of distress
1-6 coming from behind Mrs. Brown's house and pulled into her driveway
1-7 to investigate; and
1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. Trammell saw Mrs. Brown lying motionless on the
1-9 ground and immediately rushed to her aid; recognizing the gravity
1-10 of the situation he quickly called 911, retrieved a towel to
1-11 staunch the flow of blood from her badly cut arm, and brought her
1-12 oxygen supply to her side; and
1-13 WHEREAS, He then administered emergency cardiac treatment to
1-14 start Mrs. Brown's heart beating and stayed by her side until the
1-15 arrival of an emergency medical services unit; and
1-16 WHEREAS, The prompt response of Mr. Trammell was likely
1-17 responsible for saving the life of Mrs. Brown, and his
1-18 inspirational actions are truly worthy of special legislative
1-19 recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-20 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas
1-21 Legislature hereby commend Craig Trammell on his exceptional
1-22 actions in coming to the aid of Louise Brown; and, be it further
1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-24 prepared for Mr. Trammell as an expression of high regard by the
2-1 Texas House of Representatives.
