R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Seth Chalk Guest of Amarillo on March 1-2 25, 1997, at the age of two, has brought a great loss to the family 1-3 and many friends of this fine young Texan; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The son of Chalk and Carm Guest, he was born May 17, 1-5 1994, and will be fondly remembered for his winning personality and 1-6 his zest for life; like many children, he was enthralled by the 1-7 movie, Toy Story, collecting all the toys and watching the film 1-8 several times a day, and he also greatly enjoyed the Winnie the 1-9 Pooh character, Tigger; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Seth was an active child who liked to play outside 1-11 and jump on the trampoline, and he was on his way to becoming an 1-12 avid sports fan as well, cheering his favorite tennis players and 1-13 the Dallas Cowboys to victory; this dear young boy also enjoyed 1-14 accompanying his mother on errands to the mall, where his bright 1-15 smile brought him many admirers; and 1-16 WHEREAS, All who knew and loved Seth Guest will long miss his 1-17 presence; though his life has been cut tragically short, his unique 1-18 spirit will surely endure in the hearts of those whose lives he 1-19 touched for many years to come; now, therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-21 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Seth Chalk Guest and 1-22 extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his 1-23 parents, Carm and Chalk Guest; to his four sisters, Candace 1-24 Edwards, Chastity Edwards, Whitney Guest, and Neeley Guest; to his 2-1 grandparents, Raymond and Katrinka Love, Linda Sipes, and Buster 2-2 and Ann Guest; to his great-grandmother, Nelleta Guest; and to the 2-3 many other friends and relatives of this beloved little boy; and, 2-4 be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-7 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-8 Seth Chalk Guest.
