R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On March 24, 1997, Patricia Stout was inducted into 1-2 the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame, and this singular distinction 1-3 is truly worthy of special praise and recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Ms. Stout was selected for this honor for her 1-5 achievements in business and finance, and as president and chief 1-6 executive officer of Alamo Travel and Tours she has established the 1-7 company as one of the nation's outstanding Hispanic-owned 1-8 companies; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Her remarkable entrepreneurial acumen has earned her 1-10 the sincere esteem of her professional peers, and her previous 1-11 honors include being named Small Business Woman of the Year by the 1-12 Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and 1-13 WHEREAS, A vital and valued member of her community, 1-14 Ms. Stout has lent her time and talent to a number of worthy 1-15 endeavors, serving on both the University of the Incarnate Word 1-16 Development Board and the Free Trade Alliance Board as well as 1-17 participating in Leadership San Antonio; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Patricia Stout's many accomplishments in the field 1-19 of business have earned the admiration and respect of her fellow 1-20 Texans, and it is indeed fitting at this time to honor her for her 1-21 many contributions to the community; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby congratulate Patricia Stout on being inducted 1-24 into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame and extend to her sincere 2-1 best wishes for continued success and happiness in the future; and, 2-2 be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Ms. Stout as an expression of high regard by the Texas 2-5 House of Representatives.
