R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The recent passing of Miles Adair "Shady" Crow on

 1-2     March 28, 1997, at the age of 70, has brought a great loss to the

 1-3     many friends and relatives of this esteemed gentleman; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, Born December 9, 1926, in Milford, Texas, to Lee Roy

 1-5     and Margaret Ethel Crow, he was one of eight children in the

 1-6     close-knit Crow family; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, Mr. Crow was a patriotic Texan who proudly served

 1-8     his country as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, After completing his military service, he took a

1-10     position with Ennis Business Forms and was a highly productive

1-11     worker for that company before joining the staff at Stafford-Lowden

1-12     in Fort Worth, where he worked until his retirement; and

1-13           WHEREAS, Mr. Crow was a religious individual as well, and

1-14     shared his faith as an active member of the First United Methodist

1-15     Church; and

1-16           WHEREAS, Above all else, he was a devoted husband and father

1-17     who cherished the time he spent with his wife, Minnie, and their

1-18     children and grandchildren; and

1-19           WHEREAS, Miles Adair "Shady" Crow was a man of tremendous

1-20     generosity and humor; although his warmth and wisdom are gone from

1-21     us now, his remarkable spirit will surely live on in the hearts of

1-22     the many people whose lives he touched during his time on this

1-23     earth; now, therefore, be it

1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

 2-1     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Miles Adair "Shady"

 2-2     Crow and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to

 2-3     his wife, Minnie Crow; to his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and

 2-4     Kitty Crow; to his daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Mike

 2-5     Tenney; to his grandchildren, Annie and Kate Crow and Miles,

 2-6     Maggie, and Molly Tenney; to his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted

 2-7     and Eunice Crow and Jack and Doris Crow; to his sisters and

 2-8     brothers-in-law, Frances Anne and John Blocker, Wanda and Pete

 2-9     Wright, and Ginger and Jimmy Boon; and to the many other friends

2-10     and relatives of this beloved man; and, be it further

2-11           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

2-12     prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas

2-13     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of

2-14     Miles Adair "Shady" Crow.
