                                 R E S O L U T I O N

 1-1           WHEREAS, The Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of

 1-2     Commerce has distinguished itself for 18 years as the voice of

 1-3     business in the city of Fort Worth; and

 1-4           WHEREAS, The work done by the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black

 1-5     Chamber of Commerce has greatly benefited the city of Fort Worth

 1-6     through economic and community development programs; and

 1-7           WHEREAS, The Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of

 1-8     Commerce has unceasingly promoted the community to help create

 1-9     quality growth and development; and

1-10           WHEREAS, The business community, represented by the Fort

1-11     Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, has been a driving

1-12     force in fostering enhanced educational opportunities,

1-13     infrastructure improvements, leadership development, job creation,

1-14     and a positive vision of the future; and

1-15           WHEREAS, The Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of

1-16     Commerce has sought to achieve successful results for the city of

1-17     Fort Worth in a cooperative spirit with other organizations; now,

1-18     therefore, be it

1-19           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas

1-20     Legislature hereby honor the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber

1-21     of Commerce and its many volunteers for its steadfast work in

1-22     behalf and support of the city of Fort Worth, and proudly recognize

1-23     May 5-9, 1997, as Chamber of Commerce Week in the State of Texas;

1-24     and, be it further

 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

 2-2     prepared for the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce

 2-3     as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of

 2-4     Representatives.
