R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Women's Division of the Fort Worth Metropolitan 1-2 Black Chamber of Commerce has for five years distinguished itself 1-3 as the voice of business in the city of Fort Worth; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The work performed by the members of this dedicated 1-5 group has greatly benefited the city of Fort Worth through economic 1-6 and community development programs, and the Women's Division has 1-7 unceasingly promoted the community to help create quality growth 1-8 and development; and 1-9 WHEREAS, The business community, represented by the Women's 1-10 Division of the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, 1-11 has been a driving force in fostering enhanced educational 1-12 opportunities, infrastructure improvements, leadership development, 1-13 job creation, and a positive vision of the future; and 1-14 WHEREAS, The Women's Division works in a cooperative spirit 1-15 with other organizations to achieve successful results for the 1-16 city, and it is indeed appropriate to recognize its impressive 1-17 accomplishments at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-19 Legislature hereby honor the Women's Division of the Fort Worth 1-20 Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce and its many volunteers for 1-21 steadfast work in behalf and support of the city of Fort Worth, and 1-22 recognize May 5-9, 1997, as Chamber of Commerce Week in the State 1-23 of Texas; and, be it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-1 prepared for the Women's Division of the Fort Worth Metropolitan 2-2 Black Chamber of Commerce as an expression of high regard by the 2-3 Texas House of Representatives.
