R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On May 17, 1997, Lisa Dawn will graduate from the 1-2 Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) School of Public Affairs in a ceremony 1-3 to be held in the Bates Recital Hall; and 1-4 WHEREAS, In addition to completing this prestigious program, 1-5 Ms. Dawn currently serves as a legislative assistant for State 1-6 Representative Glen Maxey, and her practical insights into areas 1-7 such as public education, human services, and higher education have 1-8 proved invaluable in her role; and 1-9 WHEREAS, This remarkable woman offers consistently fresh 1-10 perspectives on the Lone Star State's everchanging political 1-11 climate, and she has demonstrated time and again her thorough 1-12 understanding of the many policy issues that affect the citizens of 1-13 Texas; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Ms. Dawn's ability to balance the demands of this 1-15 position with the equally challenging criteria of the public 1-16 affairs program is a credit to her dedication and commitment, and 1-17 the members of this chamber are proud to honor her at this time; 1-18 now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby congratulate Lisa Dawn on her graduation from 1-21 The University of Texas at Austin's Lyndon Baines Johnson School of 1-22 Public Affairs and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued 1-23 success and happiness in the years to come; and, be it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-1 prepared for Ms. Dawn as an expression of high regard by the Texas 2-2 House of Representatives.
