R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of John P. Rubocki on April 5, 1997, at
1-2 the age of 78, has brought a great loss to the family and many
1-3 friends of this esteemed El Paso resident; and
1-4 WHEREAS, Mr. Rubocki was born October 25, 1918, in Joliet,
1-5 Illinois; like many of his generation, he proudly served his
1-6 country during World War II, and he was awarded the Purple Heart
1-7 for his brave and meritorious conduct; and
1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. Rubocki was retired from his career at the White
1-9 Sands Missile Range, and he maintained an abiding commitment to the
1-10 community throughout the years as a member of the Knights of
1-11 Columbus Post Number 4497; and
1-12 WHEREAS, John Rubocki touched the lives of many people during
1-13 his lifetime, and though his special presence will be deeply
1-14 missed, his memory will long endure in the hearts and minds of all
1-15 who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it
1-16 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas
1-17 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of John P. Rubocki and
1-18 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
1-19 beloved wife, Mary Rubocki; to his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary
1-20 Kay and Byron Keller and Janice and Mark LeResche; to his
1-21 grandchildren, Derek and Mackenzie Keller; and to the many other
1-22 friends and family of this distinguished gentleman; and, be it
1-23 further
1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-1 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
2-2 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2-3 John P. Rubocki.
